Marlin Marquees reminisce after another busy season!
Many of us won’t like to admit it, but this year has flown by and Christmas is only just around the corner!
As the end of 2014 is fast-approaching, we take a breath to collect our thoughts and reminisce on yet another busy season here at Marlin Marquees. Once again, we have had the pleasure of working with a mixture of returning and new clients and delivering our knowledge, expertise and marquees in Hampshire, Wiltshire and surrounding areas. It is very easy to get bogged down with the day-to-day demands of running a business and not take time to think about your achievements and the host of different valued clients you have worked with throughout the season. We have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline for the coming weeks and for 2015, but we wanted to take the time to pick out some of our favourite projects from this year.
Marlin Marquees is delighted to be requested once again to provide three structures for the annual Thai Festival. The festival took place in New Milton on Sunday (October 12) and is organised by the Thai Temple based in Barton-on-Sea. A 12m x 30m Clear Span marquee was used for the main tent where the Buddhist monks participated in meditation. The marquee is fully carpeted for comfort and equipped with a stage, lighting, PA system and heating, all supplied by Marlin Marquees. A culinary showcase of traditional Thai cuisine also took place in one of our smaller 9m x 21m marquees, used as a canteen area where food was both cooked and enjoyed. A further 3m x 18m structure was used as an office marquee with split cubicles for any administrative tasks to be conducted. This marquee also made full use of Marlin Marquees’ event equipment for hire including trestle tables, folding chairs and generators. It is a pleasure to be asked again to assist with this popular annual event.
The Marlin Marquees team have just about come back down to earth since our unexpected appearance in Channel E!’s first scripted drama series, The Royals, starring Elizabeth Hurley. Exploring love, power and scandal within a fictional British royal family, the series is set to be aired in America next year. A tight timescale coupled with the production team requesting three kitted-out Clear Span structures meant we were in for a very busy five weeks. It was all hands on deck and very hard work but we were delighted to have been selected and look forward to seeing our marquees in action on the big screen later next year!
We have been delighted to assist in making so many bride and groom’s days that extra bit special with our host of structures and broad range of high quality event equipment. From the initial enquiry to the finished result on the day, we take pride in our knowledge and expertise in this field and love to play an integral part in a bride and groom’s big day. When it comes to wedding marquee hire, our structures offer a truly blank canvas for happy couples to put their own unique stamp on. We completed our biggest wedding order to-date back in April for a stunning celebration which took place on a private estate in the village of Ramsbury, Malborough.
The wedding reception had everything and was a glittering spectacle showcasing the endless possibilities that Marlin Marquees can help to achieve. From a red carpet greeting over a bespoke timber Ha Ha Bridge to an attractive combination of Clear Span and Pagoda structures, this wedding truly was a sight to behold. The bride and groom made full use of our broad range of high quality event equipment, from lighting to a stage, bar area and table and chairs. Read ‘A wedding with a wow factor’ to see more of this stunning celebration. From summer festivals to corporate marquee hire and weddings, this year really has been a mixture of many different types of events and we have been delighted with each of them. Reflecting on this season not only shows what the team has achieved, but also emphasises how diverse and versatile our marquee rental service is.
A huge thank you to each of our valued clients we have worked alongside this season and we look forward to the thrills and challenges of what 2015 has in store for us!
