Back to school after a frantic six-week ‘holiday’!

The six-week holiday can be a tricky time of year for any parent.

Juggling between the Play-Doh, Plasticine and paint pots, it is a frantic time of year and one Marlin Marquees knows all too well!

As well as two little ones who keep us well and truly on our toes, we have had a very full diary over the summer period.

As ‘back to school’ time begins, we catch our breath and rekindle what’s left of our sanity! After what has been a fun but exhausting six weeks, we look back on what we have achieved during this whirlwind time of year.

This summer has proved to be filled with a rather eclectic mixture of different events for Marlin Marquees. From annual beer festivals to garden parties, Marlin Marquees has seen it all this summer and we are really proud to shout about what we have achieved and just how diverse our service is.

From wedding marquee hire to corporate events and shows, we have really seen it all!

Our events over the past six weeks include:

  • The New Forest & Hampshire County Show for Collier and Dobson Gallery, Fordingbridge.
  • The Cartwheel Inn’s annual beer festival.
  • Private garden party at Breamore, Fordingbridge.
  • Weddings at St Cross, Winchester and Wimborne St Giles.

Once again, our popular structures have proven to be as diverse as they come and the striking centrepiece of many different types of summer events.

Summer is always a perfect time for outdoor games and in August our marquees were used as stylish cricket pavilions for spectators to watch the sport in luxury. This took place on a private cricket ground near Marlborough and we even used our contemporary outdoor garden furniture teamed up with white picket fencing to set the scene perfectly.

We’ve had the pleasure in being involved in a number of weddings throughout July and August, among them was a wedding on 2nd August at St Cross, Winchester. St Cross is one of our favourite venues and one we have had a close relationship with for a number of years.

130 guests enjoyed a fully decorated 12m x 24m Clearspan marquee, complete with ivory pleated linings, Anthracite carpet flooring, chandeliers, up lighting and a dance floor. Our range of limewashed chairs were also snapped up for the event.

Guests at this idyllic wedding reception also took advantage of the latest addition to Marlin Marquees’ luxury loo family, a brand new set of 3 ladies, 1 gent’s loo with 3 urinals, which kept guests comfortable throughout the duration of the event.

Our superb range of quality structures, equipment and furnishings showcase just how ideal our structures are if you’re looking for wedding marquee hire Hampshire.

From festivals and weddings to corporate marquee hire and garden parties, this year we have excelled ourselves when it comes to variety and diversity.

We’re relieved to have survived death by papier mache and looking forward to swapping the trampoline for telephone enquiries and colouring books for quotation forms!
